Meet The Team

Passionate about music. Proud of our community.

Behind Skipton Live is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who believe in the power of music to inspire, connect and bring people together. Working alongside local artists, venues, partners and supporters, we’re committed to helping live music thrive in the heart of Skipton and creating opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Catherine Davison

Co-founder of Skipton Community Orchestra and a driving force behind the creation of Skipton Community Sports Hub, I love bringing people together through new projects. A brass band player on Bb baritone, I discovered drumming in 2025, formed a ‘mature’ women’s rock band, and have been having great fun ever since!

Hannah Boyett

Vocalist, guitarist, bassist and songwriter, Hannah has performed at festivals and venues across the North. Known for blissful harmonies with duo Lost In Eve, she hosts a bi-monthly Open Mic at Craven Arts House and stage manages CAMM shows, alongside NHS work and previous lecturing at St George’s, University of London.

Liz Smailes

I bring a lifelong passion for music, events and community engagement. I have managed international concert tours for classical and jazz artists, supported music festivals across Central and Southeast Asia, and spent five years with Germany’s Zeltmusikfestival. A hospitality and tourism marketing professional, I also perform with Skipton Community Orchestra and Settle Orchestra.

Megan Roe is a multi-instrumentalist, qualified teacher and Leeds College of Music graduate. A guitarist in award-winning trio J Frisco, she has performed at major UK jazz festivals. She runs the Craven Academy of Modern Music where she develops innovative programmes for young people and adults, empowering them to learn music with confidence.
