Skipton Community Orchestra

Skipton Community Orchestra is a friendly and inclusive orchestra that welcomes musicians of all ages and abilities from across Skipton and the surrounding area. Whether you’re picking up your instrument for the first time in years, just starting out, or are an experienced player, you’ll find a warm and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy making music together.

Led by conductor Jess Mahler, the orchestra performs a varied repertoire, from classical favourites to music from films, television, musicals, rock and pop. Regular free concerts at local venues and community events help bring live orchestral music to audiences across the area.

Rehearsals

  • Venue: Craven Art House, 55 Otley Street, Skipton, BD23 1ET
  • Day: Twice a month on Tuesdays
  • Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Membership

  • Secondary school age and above
  • All abilities welcome
  • £4 per rehearsal (pay as you play)
