Sutton’s Got Brass

Community Brass Band

Sutton’s Got Brass is a friendly and welcoming community brass band based at Glusburn Institute. Established over 13 years ago with National Lottery funding, the band brings together musicians of all ages who share a love of brass music. Their varied repertoire includes everything from hymns and carols to music from the musicals, popular favourites and classical pieces.

The band regularly performs at community events throughout the year and is particularly busy during the Christmas season. They are also available to hire for concerts, celebrations and community events.

Rehearsals

Venue: Glusburn Institute, Colne Road, Glusburn, BD20 8FQ

Day: Wednesday

Time: 7:15pm arrival for a 7:30pm start, finishing at 9:30pm.

Who Can Join?

New members are always welcome. Sutton’s Got Brass welcomes players of any age who are able to read music. Instruments are available to loan, and anyone new to brass playing can be directed towards local tuition before joining the band.

Membership

Subscription: £5 per month.

Discounted rates are available for families with more than one player.
